AACT Jr. performers Present

ArtReach Children’s Theatre Plays
AACT Jr. Young Performers cast of 33 will be presenting a play featuring a few of Pooh Bear’s many adventures. Led by Melanie Brown as Artistic Director, each vignette will be directed by one of our carefully selected Youth Directors. Pooh may be a bear of “Very Little Brain,” but this production with Pooh Bear and friends will have a lot of heart!
Because of time and space limitations this year, we will prepare and present our play in a slightly different way.
Please note these important facts:
*We will tell 6 different stories from the original book – sorry no Tigger as he was not in the first book.
*There are only 33 roles.
*There is no ensemble for this show.
*Everyone will have lines.
*There are 10 narrators. They remain on stage the entire play not only telling the story, but helping to create each scene with props and their bodies.
*Some actors will only be in one story, and some in more. The play was designed by Kathryn Schultz Miller to offer a fairly even distribution of lines.
*Because of the way this play is formatted and cast, we will be able to spend time in rehearsals developing character, character voices, movement and teamwork. We look forward to being able to practice the craft of theater in depth.
Rehearsals are required for performers, and conflicts must be reported. Please go to the “Rehearsals” tab to access more information and our Rehearsal Attendance Policy now, and to submit the Conflict Form if you already know of one.
