You may have heard that the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center renovations have begun. While we are beyond excited about the improvements coming to the facilities, AACT will not have performance, rehearsal, or classroom space there for the next 1-2 years. As a City Partner, AACT has performed 80 productions in the Performance Room of the Dempsey, entertaining more than two thousand patrons each year. The Dempsey has been our home.

Sara Custer and her staff at the Dempsey are working to find alternative and temporary spaces we can use for rehearsals; however, we are still looking for affordable performance spaces during construction. Andrea and I have been to Community Theatres that thrive in old movie theaters, furniture stores, and even an old Jiffy Lube! We need your help to get these ideas together and make them happen for AACT.

We invite you to brainstorm with us virtually. If you have a space or can imagine a space, if you could make phone calls and inquiries about possible spaces, or If you know someone who has a space, let us know!
