Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) has spent its most recent season celebrating 20 years of bringing live theatre to the Auburn-Opelika community. With the final curtain now closed on its 2024–2025 season, AACT invites those who put the “community” in Auburn Area Community Theatre to one last celebration honoring two decades of creativity, collaboration, and connection.
The 20th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 21, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public, in keeping with AACT’s long-standing belief in the importance of accessibility. All are invited, and attendees aged 12 and up are especially encouraged to attend.
Guests will enjoy an evening of coffee, desserts, entertainment, giveaways, and community fellowship, as AACT reflects on its past and looks forward to an exciting future. In addition to celebrating past productions and people who have contributed over the years, AACT is also celebrating receiving a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts for new risers that will be debuted in their 2025-2026 season. Attendees will also get an exclusive first look at the 2025–2026 season lineup.
